About

The Doctoral Training Alliance (DTA) has been developed by a group of Alliance Universities to produce independent, highly-employable researchers. The programme aims to furnish its students with expertise and skills in strategically-important research areas. It offers students at the Alliance universities a fully funded postgraduate programme with real-world impact. In addition to the world-class facilities and support at each home institution, these researchers are part of a broader community, allowing them to access the expertise and support across the nation and encouraging collaboration.

The first DTA in Applied Biosciences for Health began in October 2015. Following the first Autumn School, where the students could meet each other and develop new, exciting connections, the students created this website to share their experiences on this pioneering programme.
